Mangaluru, Jun 27: Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, Mangaluru, conducted the orientation programme for the parents and students of grades V to VIII with the objective of strengthening the home-school partnership and acquainting parents with the academic framework, examination pattern, school initiatives, and expectations for the academic year 2026–27.
The session for grades VII and VIII commenced with a prayer service and a vibrant welcome presentation by the teachers. Sherine Vinod welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Sunitha Singh, physics and Artificial Intelligence educator from Mount Carmel Central School.






































In her engaging session on digital discipline, Sunitha Singh emphasised responsible technology use, healthy screen-time practices, parental guidance, and the importance of balancing digital engagement with reading, outdoor activities, creativity, and meaningful family interactions.
Principal Sr Therese Teena AC addressed the gathering, emphasising student discipline, academic excellence, and the crucial role of parental involvement in nurturing confident, responsible, and successful learners. Parents were further acquainted with the curriculum, assessment framework, examination pattern, school app, PTA audit report, and other key academic procedures for the year.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Anna Gemini, expressing gratitude to all stakeholders for their support and participation. The proceedings were gracefully compered by Angel Shaina, ensuring the smooth and engaging flow of the programme. The orientation programme proved to be insightful and enriching, fostering stronger collaboration between parents and the school while equipping families to support the holistic growth and success of every student.
The orientation programme for grades V and VI was held on June 23 with the objective of strengthening the home-school partnership and promoting the holistic development of students.
The programme began with a prayer service, invoking god's blessings for a fruitful academic year, followed by a vibrant welcome presentation by the students. Rita Maben warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the keynote speaker, Jestalaxmi Boloor, counselling psychologist and life skills trainer at Alva’s Ayur Care, whose expertise enriched the session with valuable insights for parents.
The keynote session by resource person Jestalaxmi Boloor focused on the vital role of parents in shaping their children's character, emotional well-being, and future success. She emphasised open communication, positive parenting, responsible technology use, and the importance of fostering healthy habits and values at home.
Principal Sr Therese Teena AC addressed the parents on discipline, academic expectations, and the significance of parental involvement in a child's educational journey. Teachers familiarised parents with the curriculum, assessment methods, examination pattern, and classroom expectations for the academic year.
The parent-teacher executive committee (PTEC) elections were conducted by the administrator, Sr Ida Barboza AC, fostering active parental participation in the school. Parents were also briefed on the PTA audit report and guided on the effective use of the NeverSkip App, enhancing communication and collaboration between the school and home.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mallika Pushparaj. The session proved to be informative and enriching, fostering stronger parent-school collaboration and equipping families to support the overall growth and success of their children.
