Eight injured in shooting at New York's Coney Island

New York, Jul 6: Eight people, including four children, were injured in a shooting near Coney Island in New York on Sunday night, police said.

According to the New York City Police Department, the shooting occurred in the Coney Island area of Brooklyn, prompting a large emergency response.

The victims include four adults and four children. Police said all eight sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities said none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators have not yet disclosed the circumstances that led to the shooting or whether the victims were the intended targets. No arrests had been announced at the time of reporting.
