New Delhi, Jul 11: The Union Health Ministry on Friday said the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission (ABDM) has emerged as one of the world's largest digital health ecosystems, with more than 93.95 crore digital health accounts created across the country.
According to the ministry, the mission has linked over 105 crore health records, while 5.33 lakh health facilities and 9.85 lakh healthcare professionals have been registered on the national digital health registries.
The ministry said ABDM has also enabled around 2.72 lakh healthcare facilities to adopt ABDM-enabled software and facilitated the generation of nearly 24 crore Scan & Register tokens, allowing faster outpatient department (OPD) registrations.

The figures were presented during the third meeting of the Mission Steering Group, chaired by Union Health Minister J P Nadda, to review the progress of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission and discuss its future roadmap.
According to the ministry, the mission has expanded rapidly across States and Union Territories through initiatives such as Model Districts, Model Facilities and Aarogya Setu 2.0. It has also strengthened integration with flagship government health programmes, including Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Nikshay.
During the meeting, members discussed measures to accelerate the adoption of ABDM nationwide and proposals to further expand digital health services, improve interoperability, promote the implementation of nationally notified digital health standards, strengthen governance mechanisms and enhance citizen convenience through seamless digital access to healthcare services.
Emphasising the way forward, Nadda said the next phase of the mission should focus on increasing its adoption and effective utilisation across the country.
"While a robust digital health infrastructure has been created under ABDM, the next phase must focus on maximising its adoption and utilisation across the country," the ministry quoted the Union Health Minister as saying in an official statement.
