Setback for Yeddy: MLAs to Attend Budget Session, High Command Unmoved

New Delhi, Mar 21: Former CM B S Yeddyurappa's 'pressure' tactics seem to have backfired on him and on his supporting MLAs, as his entire army, claimed by themselves as '65 MLAs', have decided to attend the budget session to be held on Wednesday, March 21 in the state assembly.

According to Basavaraj Bommai, Yeddyurappa's close aide, this decision was taken considering the budget and to enure smooth running of the session. "We are not a split group or anti-party, but we only wanted to prove our strength to the high command. We have the support of 65 MLAs, and all have signed the letter of support which has been faxed to national BJP chief Nitin Gadkari."

It is reliably learnt that Yeddyurappa has agreed for only a temporary truce with BJP central leadership, and that after the budget session and the Rajya Sabha election on March 30, he will once again put his demand before the party leadership. He has reportedly demanded that Arun Jaitley, senior BJP leader in New Delhi, instruct state BJP president K Eshwarappa to call for state BJP legislative party meeting. As per his demands, a day before calling the meeting CM Sadananda Gowda must resign, and any member who enjoys the majority support of MLAs must be sworn in as chief minister.

But on the other hand, sources from BJP high command said that Nitin Gadkari has warned the MLAs in Golden Palm Resort and told them to get back to work or face the music of expulsion. The indirect warning from Gadkari may have prompted Yeddyurappa to change his decision and send his MLA supporters to the budget session on March 21.

According to midnight reports from New Delhi, Gadkari has also warned B J Puttaswamy and told him to withdraw his 'rebel' nomination from Rajya Sabha seat. He strictly warned Yeddyurappa group stating, "There will be no talk with Yeddyurappa until Puttaswamy withdraws his nomination."

Puttaswamy, political secretary of Yeddyurappa when in power, is known as his close aide, and his nomination is an important part of the pressure tactics of his group to bend BJP central leadership.

An almost clear picture of the political situation in Karnataka is expected to be out after the Udupi-Chikmaglur poll result on Wednesday March 21.

Dear Mr Gadkari, be a man of principle. Don't budge to the request of Yeddy. Worst case sack him and his supporters. BJP may loose power in Karnataka but this action will improve the image of BJP in the state. Let Yeddy leave the party, nobody will take him.

I think we people, the citizens have every right to ask Yeddi the account and bills of the resort stay. Please let us know on whose account the bills are settled, because if it is on the account of the government, we the tax payer citizens ultimately are the host for this party.

Mr. Yeddi must how much money he spends for this resort and from where he got this money? When we buy ordinary liquor we pay a lot of tax and often we never to buy it. But these power greedy people are spending such huge money and we must know all details. Income tax people must publish all information to the public. These politicians are really ……………….and hope they must kicked out from all type of political game.

BJP high command must inquire about this issue.

Indeed major setback for Yeddy, he looks totally lost..

The Worst part is, that Yeddy's Son (Raghavendra) going to Delhi for begging has also not served any purpose..

Now let Yeddy pay Resort bills from his personal account.

I think the real Gaddaffi is that Nithin Gadkari sitting in center who is mainly responsible for Yeddi to Jump so much. Am sure he & Yeddi had really good relations in all aspects during BJP's good time in Karnataka , whihc is why he is counting MEENA MESHA which deciding Yeddi's fate.

I told before, Yeddy is a coward he is zero without BJP, one warning from high command all MLA's along with Yeddy will appear in assembly. Useless fellows. Where is Anna Hazare now? He don't have guts to speak against BJP? Another coward. Bopayya should suspend all ministers if they don't attend to budget session tomorrow. British rule was better than present BJP govt.

Two way problems for BJP in karnataka, firstly if sadananda gowda retains his chair as CM, then in mangalore and udupi areas BJP will next elections but in bangalore areas, BJP will lose the coming elections. And if yeddy becomes CM, then in mangalore and udupi areas BJP will lose the coming election but in bangalore areas BJP will win, High command is confused what to do.
