Mangaluru: St Theresa's School celebrates 106th Bethany Foundation Day – primary section

Mangaluru, Jul 15: The students of grade 5 of St Theresa’s School, Bendur, celebrated the 106th Bethany Foundation Day through a meaningful assembly, honouring the rich legacy of the Bethany Congregation.

The programme was graced by the chief guest, Sr Shanthi Priya BS, assistant superior general of the Bethany Congregation, along with Sr Shaila BS, correspondent; Sr Lourdes BS, principal; Sr Vidya BS, vice principal; Sr Chrisette BS, Sr Sharmila BS, and Sr Felcy BS.

The celebration began with a prayer service, followed by the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the Founder. A welcome dance and a creative presentation highlighted the vision and mission of the Bethany Congregation.

The highlight of the programme was a captivating skit, interwoven with graceful dances, portraying the founding and growth of the Bethany Congregation. The students beautifully depicted the faith, courage, and dedication of the Founder and the pioneering Bethany Sisters.

Addressing the gathering, Sr Shanthi Priya encouraged the students to live the Bethany values of love, humility, compassion, and joyful service. Through an inspiring story from the life of Msgr R F C Mascarenhas, she urged them to become beacons of light in society. Sr Shanthi Priya and Sr Lourdes appreciated the students and teachers for their creative presentation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The celebration inspired the students to cherish the Bethany legacy and continue its mission of faith and service.
