Mangaluru, Jul 31: The installation ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Lions Club Centennial for the year 2026–27 was held at Lions Ashoka Bhavan, near Kadri Park.
At the ceremony, Ln.Amal Maria Isabella Quadros,PMJF assumed office as the new President. The installation proceedings were conducted by Ln.Swaroop N. Shetty,PMJF who officially inducted the new office-bearers and also welcomed five new members into the Lions family. She appreciated the club’s activities and wished the club continued success in carrying out service projects that benefit society.
The new executive committee includes Ln.Richard Pinto as secretary, Ln.Suresh Montero as treasurer, Ln.Harold D'Cunha and Ln. Lawrence Lobo as vice presidents,Ln. Diana Shanbhog,Ln. Vincent Pereira as PRO, Ln.Tejakshi Suvarna, Ln.Hilda Urva, Ln.Jacinta Lobo, Ln.Sriram Rai,Ln. Andrea Fernandes and Ln.Ujwal D'Cunha, who took the oath of office for various positions.
Immediate past governor Ln.Kudpi Aravind Shenoy PMJF, Regional Chairperson Ln.Jayaraj Prakash and Zone Chairperson Ln.Ganesh Salian congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and praised the club’s community service initiatives. As part of the event, various service activities worth ?2,50,000 were undertaken. Zone Envoy Ln.Lawrence Lobo assisted in organizing the programme. On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Subedar Bharat Kumar was honoured. The programme was compered by PRO Ln.Vincent Pereira, while Ln.Suresh Montero delivered the vote of thanks. Region club office-bearers and members attended the function and congratulated the new team. The event concluded with a musical programme presented by Ms.Pratibha and her group.
