Mumbai, Aug 23: Bollywood actress Kajol once expressed her immense admiration for legendary actress Sridevi, saying she wished the veteran star would open an acting school so that she could be her first student.
During an appearance on veteran actor Anupam Kher's popular chat show The Anupam Kher Show, Kajol recalled that Sridevi was her favourite actress while growing up.
When Kher asked her about her favourite actresses before she entered films, Kajol said she did not have a particular favourite initially but developed a deep admiration for Sridevi as she grew older.

"I always tell her that you should open a school. I must be the first student in your school," Kajol had said, describing Sridevi as an "unbelievable actress".
'She's a chameleon'
Kajol particularly admired Sridevi's ability to completely transform herself for every role while retaining something of her own personality within the character.
Calling her a "chameleon" and a "true actor", Kajol cited films including Chandni, ChaalBaaz, Sadma, Lamhe and Khuda Gawah as examples of Sridevi's remarkable versatility.
Kajol observed that each of Sridevi's performances appeared to carry a part of the actress herself while remaining firmly centred on the character she portrayed.
Praised Sridevi's passion for life
Kajol also admired Sridevi's continued enthusiasm and passion for her work and life, saying that despite achieving so much, the actress still had a youthful spark in her eyes.
According to Kajol, Sridevi remained interested in exploring new possibilities and retained the desire to accomplish more in life.
Sridevi, one of Indian cinema's most celebrated actresses, died on February 24, 2018, aged 54, after accidental drowning.
Despite Kajol's admiration for the legendary actress, the two never had the opportunity to share the screen.
