Benagluru, Sep 8: Konkani Kulvar Association celebrated Monthi Fest at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ulsoor, Bangalore on September 8.

This celebration in honouring Baby Mary beautifully brought together faith, culture and tradition.

As a special tribute children offered flowers to Baby Mary, filling the celebration with innocence, colour and devotion. The traditional new paddy (Noven) was blessed, symbolising gratitude for God’s blessings and a bountiful harvest.

Fr Maria Louis parish priest, Fr Joel Fernandes, SJ, Fr Martis SJ, Francis Dsouza, Rev John Lucas, Fr Philip celebrated the mass. Choir led by Renny Lobo & Sunil.

The festive celebration reflected the deep-rooted Konkani Catholic tradition of honouring Mother Mary and passing the values of faith, gratitude and community to the younger generation.

The church was filled with prayers, hymns and a spirit of togetherness as the faithful gathered to celebrate the birthday of their beloved Mother Mary.
