Mangaluru, Oct 11: St Agnes School CBSE, Mangaluru, organised the Scouts and Guides camp from October 2 to 4, providing students with valuable opportunities to develop discipline, leadership, teamwork and self-reliance.
The camp commenced with the Gandhi Jayanthi programme, followed by flag hoisting, Shramadhan, sessions on first aid, bandaging, pioneering, knots, gadgets, estimation and mapping. Students participated in hiking, yoga, kit inspection, creative competitions and team-building activities. The second day featured an enriching session by Premalatha, and Sufala B resource persons who shared valuable insights and practical knowledge with the participants.





















































































The highlight of the camp was the camp fire, featuring a torch ceremony, prayer, welcome dance, welcome speech, folk dance, moral skit, patriotic song, scout performances, mime show and vote of thanks. The programme fostered camaraderie, creativity and the spirit of scouting. Students also engaged in activities such as cooking without fire, collage-making on seasons of creation – water, flower-petal competitions, a paper fashion show and night games.
The camp concluded with an all-faith prayer, Shramadhan and evaluation. Overall, the three-day camp was a meaningful learning experience that nurtured responsibility, environmental awareness, cooperation and the values of scouting among the students.
The Scouts and Guides camp was a memorable and enriching experience for all the participants. The meticulous planning, dedicated efforts and wholehearted cooperation of all the Guides Captains played a vital role in making the camp a grand success. Their commitment and guidance ensured the smooth conduct of all the activities.
The camp concluded on a happy note, leaving the students with valuable lessons in discipline, leadership, teamwork and service.
