Ahmedabad, Oct 25: Electronic gadgets worth approximately Rs 1 crore were stolen from an Ingram Micro warehouse near Navapura village, close to Sanathal Circle in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat.

The theft came to light after a security guard noticed that the warehouse's rear doors had been broken between 1 am and 2.30 am on October 21. Several packages inside the facility were also found damaged.

According to police, around three thieves entered the premises through an open field behind the warehouse before breaking open a rear door. CCTV footage reportedly showed the suspects covering their faces and heads with cloth to conceal their identities.

Sudhir Nair, a resident of Godrej Garden City in Jagatpur who works as a manager at the warehouse, was informed about the incident by the security guard. After reaching the premises, he discovered that a large quantity of electronic equipment was missing.

The stolen items included 40 iPhone 17 units, 30 iPhone 16 units, 15 Dell laptops, 11 HP laptops, 36 Apple Watches, 20 iPad keyboards, iPad Pro devices, laptop bags and other accessories. The total value of the stolen goods has been estimated at around Rs 1 crore.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Neelam Goswami of Ahmedabad Rural said multiple teams had been formed to trace and arrest those involved in the theft.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage to reconstruct the sequence of events and identify the suspects. According to police, the thieves entered the warehouse from the open field behind the premises and escaped by road after stealing the gadgets.

Goswami said the possibility of someone familiar with the warehouse being involved could not be ruled out. Police are investigating how the suspects gained access to the facility and whether they had prior knowledge of its layout and security arrangements.

No arrests had been reported in the information provided. The investigation is continuing, with police working to identify the suspects and recover the stolen goods.
