Bangalore, May 17: The 2009-2010 Karnataka state film awards, announced in 2011, were presented here at Gnanajyothi Auditorium in Central College on May 15, 2012.
For the occasion Karnataka chief minister, Sadananda Gowda along with home and transport minister R. Ashoka, former minister Roshan Baig, Thara Anuradha, KCA chair person and government officials Basavaraju and Bevinamaradha were present.
The Karnataka Chief Minister in his speech did not confirm the sanction of subsidy from 75 films to 100 films. "I will look in to it he said and recounted how wonderfully the BJP government has supported the Kannada cinema in the last four years".
The Konkani movie 'Kazar' produced by Ferns International Movies, promoted by Dubai's well known businessman Franks Fernandes of Mosaco Shipping was adjudged best Konkani movie for the year 2010. The movie is satrred by Larry, Harshika Poonacha and directed by R Castelino.
Frank Fernandes was present on the occasion to receive the award. CM D V Sadananda Gowda presented the award to him.
Well known veteran actor R N Sudharshan bagged Dr Rajumar award.
