I Forgot About Father's Day, Says Andre

London, Jun 19 (IANS): Singer Peter Andre says he forgot about the Father's Day because it was his ex-wife Katie Price's turn to spend time with their children and he was busy with his recording.

Andre has two children - Junior, 7, and four-year-old Princess - and spent the day in the studio.

"Everyone's been asking what I did for Father's Day but, to be honest, I had totally forgotten about it this year, probably because it wasn't my turn to have the kids. I was really busy in the studio working on my album so I had plenty of things to keep me busy," Andre wrote in his column for New! magazine.

Earlier this month, the 39-year-old lost his title of 'Celebrity Dad Of The Year' after winning it for two consecutive years.

Contactmusic.com reports that in the column, he congratulated singer Gary Barlow, new recipient of the title.

"I am more than happy to hand over my crown. It doesn't mean I will stop being a good dad, though. As you know, I've won the award for the last two years in a row, but I am so chuffed that Gary Barlow has won Celebrity Dad of the Year."

"He has done so many amazing things this year and he's got a new baby on the way so he really deserves it," he wrote in the column.
