Bangalore: Kannada Cine Actor Diganth Booked

Bangalore, Jun 20 (DHNS): Shivajinagar Traffic police have booked a case against Kannada cine actor Diganth for causing an accident, on Tuesday.

Sources said the car in which the actor was travelling rammed a bike in Shivajinagar on the night of June 16. Though nobody was injured, the two-wheeler, owned by Shahid was considerably damaged.

But the two apparently reached a compromise and Diganth reportedly promised to pay Rs 15,000 towards the damages.

However, the security personnel at Diganth’s house turned away Shahid the following day. When he contacted the actor over the phone, Diganth reportedly declined to pay any compensation and in turn dared him to take any action, police said.

Shahid has filed a complaint with the Shivajinagar Traffic police on Tuesday. However electronic media reports quoted Diganth saying that he wasn’t driving the car when the incident happened and the bike rider was at fault in the accident. He termed the complaint a publicity gimmick.
