Los Angeles, Jul 4 (IANS): Actor Tom Cruise is declared world's highest earning actor after taking home $75 million between May 2011 to May 2012, says Forbes' new list.
He has beaten Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler into joint second place on the annual list of 100 highest paid actors by Forbes, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The 50-year-old enjoyed a successful year after "Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol" earned more than $700 million at global box offices.
Last year's top earner DiCaprio came joint second with funnyman Sandler, who both earned $37 million.
Former professional wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is fourth, earning $36 million after one of his films "Fast Five", took in an impressive $626 million at the box office.
Comedian Ben Stiller is at number five with $33 million, while Sacha Baron Cohen was just behind him, taking $30 million.
Others in the top 10 included Johnny Depp at number seven followed by Will Smith at eighth slot. Mark Wahlberg is at number nine and Taylor Lautner at the tenth spot.
