Budapest, Aug 21 (IANS): London Olympics gold medallists Sanya Richards-Ross, Krisztian Pars and Christian Taylor all won with ease at the Gyulai Memorial Athletic Meet here.
Four-time Olympic and five time world champion Richards-Ross of the US sailed over the finish line in the women's 200 metres sprint, in 22.70 seconds Monday, while Hungary's hammer thrower champion Pars won with a 79.74m throw, outclassing all other competitors, Xinhua reports.
Triple jumper Christian Taylor, whose Olympic win added to the US' trophies, won with a leap of 17.30m, the only jumper to exceed the 17m mark.
In other contests, American Michelle Carter won the women's shot put, while a real contest evolved in the men's 200 metres sprint. Mario Forsythe of Jamaica won in 20.33 seconds, while Darvis Patton of the US came second with 20.34.
Shericka Williams of Jamaica, the silver medallist in London, won the women's 400m run in 50.34 seconds, while Jason Richardson of the US, another London silver medallist, flew over the men's 110m hurdles in 13.15 seconds.
Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku of Kenya won the men's 3,000m event in 7:35.41, while Timothy Kitum of Kenya won the men's 800m contest with a time of 1:45.39, just ahead of compatriot Edwin Kiplagat Meli, who clocked 1:45.41.
Konstadinos Baniotis of Greece won the high jump with 2.24m.Jarrin Solomon of Trinidad won the men's 400m run in 45.48 seconds.
