Vatican City, Sep 22 (IANS/AKI): Pope Benedict XVI will publish a new book in December on the childhood of Jesus.
The book will be available in Italy during Christmas, the Vatican said in a statement.
It was not clear when other language editions will reach bookstores.
"Work is continuing on translations into the major languages. The definitive title has not yet been made public," the Vatican stated.
Benedict XVI, a theology scholar, has focused his research and his work on the "person and the message of Jesus", the Vatican said.
