Portray Gays with Dignity, says Pooja Bhatt

Mumbai, Oct 23 (IANS): Actress-turned-director Pooja Bhatt says she is tired of watching caricature of gay people in Hindi movies.

"Maybe some day we will portray gay people in Hindi films with the dignity they deserve. Tired of seeing them only used to evoke laughter," tweeted Pooja.

Even her half-sister Alia's debut "Student Of The Year" (SOTY), features Rishi Kapoor as a gay, with humorous overtones. His look is also homosexual - he is seen in pink shirts and lilac ties, which are typically a fun way of looking at those without a straight sexual orientation.
