Udupi: Bishop Gerald Lobo Conveys Message of Peace on Christmas

Udupi, Dec 22: Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of Udupi diocese delivered the Christmas message of love, peace and sacrifice here on Friday, December 21.

The Bishop said, "Jesus being Son of God came on earth to uplift mankind and to spread the message of love and peace. He always followed the language of love."

"God is love and love is God. It is an occasion of happiness and celebration. Christmas eradicates wickedness by spreading the light of happiness and joy."

"The life of Christ is always a symbol of sacrifice for humans. He came down to earth not to punish humans, but to protect them. Christ is the messenger of God," he added.

He further said, “Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for human beings. He was a mediator. His selfless love teaches us to be a good humans and love everyone selflessly. Sacrifice is the most superior form of love that ever existed on earth. Saintly love is the message on this occasion of Christmas.”

He also wished everyone on the occasion and urged them to light the lamp of love and peace in the world.

Among those present were Udupi District Working Journalists' Association president Kiran Manjanbail, secretary Jayakar Suvarna, district information officer Junjanna and journalist Michael Rodrigues.
