Kundapur, Dec 23: Former chief minister and chief of Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP) B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday December 22 attacked the BJP-led state government and said that a government which does not respond to people’s needs, and which does not enjoy majority support was of no use.

He addressed the media during his visit to Kollur Sri Mookambika temple on Saturday.

"The schemes and programmes which were launched during my tenure are now being neglected due to which people are facing a lot of problems. In this regard, we are holding 'Vidhana Soudha Chalo' protest at Freedom Park in Bangalore on December 26 to oppose a government which works against the interests of the people," he said.

"These days all parties are concentrating on the upcoming election. The ruling party and the opposition have failed to work for the betterment of people," he said, posing a challenge to the ruling government in the coming elections.

"The ruling party has cancelled most of the schemes like Bhagyalaxmi and others which were in the interests of needy people. This was done mainly because the schemes were launched during my tenure," he alleged.

"Hence, with Vidhana Soudha Chalo protest we will condemn the government's anti-people policies and demand government to release funds soon. The protest will be held in every legislative assembly zone by the KJP activists," he added.

LN Maruthi, chief of the temple committee, Sridar Adiga, Gopalkrishna Adiga, KJP leader Dhananjay Kumar; Narayan Nayak, Narayan Shetty among others were present.

All this is a political gimmick. Yeddy has been pressurised by congress government that u leave BJP or else we will send CBI after you. CBI is under the congress's belt. They used it against all those who went against them. Another example is Jagan Reddy. Congress knows BJP cannot win in Karnataka without Yeddy. He floats his own party and will support congress during the elections and then they will form the government. All that is happening is just political adjustments.

What he might have prayed was " Oh. Mother. I am, atleast, partially successful in breaking elected Govt. Pl. forgive for my sins and help me carrying it over to next birth".
