Bhatkal: Three of Family Seriously Injured in Mishap

Bhatkal, Dec 25: Three persons were seriously injured after a Maruti Omni collided with a Bajaj Apache on the national highway near Hotel City Light on Monday December 24, at around 8.30 pm.

The injured have been identified as social worker Mohammed Nasir Armar(40), his son Younus (7)and daughter Tasmiya (9).

Locals rushed the injured to Bhatkal government hospital and welfare hospital. They were later shifted to a hospital in Mangalore.

The mishap occurred when the speeding Omni moving in the opposite direction hit the bike in which Nasir was riding. He was on his way to Honnavar from his house.

Nasir suffered injuries on his hands and legs while his son and daughter suffered minor injuries.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station.
