Mangalore: District Unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides Organizes Meet

Mangalore, Dec 28: "Students should also participate in extra-curricular activities besides academic studies , be a Ranger-Rover to serve the society and thus be a good citizen", said Dugganna Saavantha, head of Bappanadu Sri Durga Parameshwari temple.

He addressed the gathering during the district unit of Bharath Scouts and Guides meeting held at Sri Narayan Guru School premises in Mulky on Thursday December 27.

 

The Rangers-Rovers meet was jointly organized by Bharath Scouts and Guides, Dakshina Kannada and Mulki unit and by District rally welcoming committee.

Raviraj Shetty, president of Bharath Scouts and Guides, Mulky presided over the meet.

V Sathish Kamath, president of Mulky lions club; Ramachandra Acharya, president of Journalist Association, Mulky; Ramashesha Shetty, scouts commissioner of district; Madhav Bhat of Rovers among others were the guests of honor.

Sarvottam Anchan, assistant district commissioner of Scouts-Guides welcomed the gathering; M Prabhakar Bhat compered while Harishchandra M delivered the vote of thanks.

NG Mohan, district commissioner of Scouts-Guides, Irene D’Cunha, district commissioner of Guides, Madhav Bolur, district treasurer, rally director Vasanth, Prathim Kumar, Rangers assistant director, Sarojini Suvarna among others were present.
