Kundapur, Dec 30: “Today, the cooperative field is strong in undivided Dakshina Kannada because of the efforts of veteran cooperatives of this region who played an active role to rise in the field of cooperative. So, the present cooperatives have the responsibility to make it much more stronger and pass on responsibility to the future generation”, said SCDCC bank district president MN Rajendra Kumar during the golden jubilee celebration of Kundapur taluk Primary Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank in R N Shetty convention hall, held on December 29.
He spoke after distributing prizes prizes to various winners on the occasion.
“In undivided Dakshina Kannada district, eight land development banks are performing appreciation contribution in the state. Even the agriculturists are contributing to development in their own way by paying their debt in the right time. A record was created since 17 years in recovering the debt, with the cooperation of cooperative members. Bank has won many inspirational awards. The bank members are the real inspirational power to this achievement”, he added.
Third finance commission implementation workforce president A G Kodgi inaugurated the stage programme by unveiling the portrait of founder director B Annappa Hedge.
MP Jayaprakash Hedge laid the foundation stone for the new bank building. Former minister Oscar Fernandez, Vidhana Parishad member and Prathapchandra Shetty were present on this occasion.

On this occasion, a cheque of Rs 60,000 was handed over to Duma Chandrashekar, principal of Bhandarkars College for mid meal fund.
