Mangalore: Medical equipment inaugurated at FMMC Dept of radio diagnosis

Mangalore, Feb 21: Inaugurations of the renovated X –Ray section and new state of the art equipments in the Department of Radio Diagnosis and imaging Technology by Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director FMCI.

Administrators Fr Richard Coelho, Fr Denis D’Sa, Fr Rudolf D’Sa; Dean Dr JP Alva, chief of medical service Dr B Sanjeev Rai and staff members of the department FMMC were present on the occasion.

The equipment blessed and inaugurated were, the digital radiography equipment (D.R) –First of its kind in Mangalore. High end Ultrasonography and colour Doppler machine with advanced features like elastography, contrast Ultrasonography and 3D/4D imaging, 600 MA radiography with IITV and new computerized Radiography system and Mammogram.

The renovation work has been done as per AERB requirements. With these facilities the department is fully equipped to give quick reports and it will be a great blessing to the patients.

The director in his address remarked that the upgradation was part of the institution’s commitment to provide the best and affordable care to its patients.

The event culminated with the vote of thanks by Dr Blossom the facility manager.
