M'lore: Man arrested for printing, circulating fake Rs 100 notes

Mangalore, Feb 23: Bajpe police have arrested a person on charges of printing Rs 100 currency notes and circulating them.

The accused has been identified as Jaison (30) from Meramajal, Farangipet.

A postgraduate, Jaison reportedly owed debts to many people.

It is also learnt that he rented a room behind Farangipet bus stand for the purpose of giving tuitions. He also possessed a color printer using which he made copies of Rs 100 currency notes and circulated them.

Bajpe police caught him red-handed while he was circulating these notes in Paduperara.

He was later produced in court.

Bajpe police have registered a case and investigations are on.
