M'lore: Swamiji from Bangalore killed while crossing road

Mangalore, Feb 25: A Swamiji from Bangalore died while crossing the road near Lady Goshen hospital on Sunday February 24, after an auto rickshaw rammed into him.

The Swamiji is identified as Shivaramakrishna (70). He was rushed to Wenlock hospital where he breathed his last.

A bag and a mobile phone were found with the Swamiji. The police then contacted his brother who is expected to arrive in the city. More information about the Swamiji will only be obtained only after his arrival, said the traffic police.

As per the information obtained from sources, it is said that the Shivaramakrishna alias Sriramulu took to spiritual life 20 years ago after his son left home.

He was residing in Hrishikesh trust and had been to Mangalore to meet a person who is yet to be identified. The deceased also possessed a railway ticket which indicated that he planned to go to Mumbai and from there to Hrishikesh, said police sources.
