Udupi: Fire breaks out near Akashvani Radio station in Brahmavar

Udupi, Feb 26: A fire raged across a 15 acres barren land near Akashvani Radio center on Monday February 25.

The blaze raged on for a while before fire fighters came and extinguished the fire.

As the premises is being surrounded by bushes, huge trees, fire has erupted a couple of times at the spot. Due to the huge trees and bushes, few wild animals are also found there and hence the locals gathered together a few months ago and burnt it down.

As soon as the news of the fire was spotted by the locals, they tried to bring it under control till fire fighters could arrive.

The fire brigade from Malpe and Udupi were called to the spot.

Prabhu DT, Brahmavar circle inspector, Girish N, inspector, Shankar Rao, Tashildar, Diwakar Aithal, Mescom Section officer and several others made necessary arrangements on time.
