Soha returns to the small screen, says work is all about fun

Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS): Soha Ali Khan, who returns to the small screen to anchor the fifth season of "Spell Bee - India Spells" on Discovery channel, says work is about enjoyment and not about mediums.

She had earlier hosted Star Plus show "Khelo Jeeto Jiyo" and recently did "What Not To Wear" with designer Aki Narula for TLC.

The 34-year-old, who has been part of films like "Rang De Basanti", "Khoya Khoya Chand" and "Mumbai Meri Jaan", works without worrying about the medium because she "enjoys such things".

"I had fun when we did 'What Not to Wear' and this time when I was told it is a special programme for kids based on education, I wanted to be associated with that," she said here Monday at the announcement of the winners of the show.

"I don't think if it is big screen or small screen. I only think that I have to work for 12 hours... and whether I will enjoy it or not? This is something I couldn't say no to," she added.

Soha stated that she is a complete purist when it comes to the English language and still enjoys doing crosswords and scrabble.

"Today also I love playing word games with friends, whether it is scrabble or taboo. I like doing crosswords, especially when I get time during a shoot. I like the English language, I genuinely get excited when it comes to spelling words," Soha said.

"Even when I send SMSes or write something on Twitter, I never abbreviate, I write the full form. I think I am a bit of a purist when it comes to the English language," added Soha whose next big screen outing is "Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns".
