Rajinikanth surprises with fast-paced dubbing for 'Kochadaiyaan'

Chennai, March 28 (IANS): Rajinikanth has started dubbing for his upcoming Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiyaan" and the work pace of the southern superstar has amazed Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty.

Directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya, "Kochadaiyaan" is India's first motion-capture film, made along the lines of "Tin Tin" and "Avatar". The film also features R. Sarath Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Aadi Pinisetty, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nasser.

"Rajini sir began dubbing for the film yesterday (Wednesday). He has already completed the first half and is likely to complete the rest in a day or two," a source from the film's until told IANS.

Meanwhile the rest of the crew is busy with post-production work in China.

Pookutty is working with the superstar closely for dubbing.

"It's unbelievable, his dedication and commitment to work. He finished the first half dubbing in a day," posted Pookutty on his Twitter page.

Soundarya headed off to China earlier this month to begin work on the post-production for the film, which is likely to hit theatres this summer.

Jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment, the film has music by A.R Rahman.
