Imran, Sonakshi excited to watch IPL-6 at Eden Gardens


Kolkata, Apr 4 (IANS): Pledging loyalty towards Mumbai, their hometown, Bollywood actors Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha Wednesday expressed excitement on watching their first ever match at the Eden Gardens -- the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils.

"We have come here to watch the IPL and that is for me actually the most exciting experience as it's the first time I am watching a match at the Eden gardens so am looking forward to a very very exciting match," Khan said at a media conference to promote his forthcoming release "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again" (OUATIMA) at the Taj Bengal hotel here.

"This is my first time too," added Sinha about her maiden match at Eden Gardens.

The actors will be seen together in Milan Luthria's "OUATIMA" which also stars Akshay Kumar and Sonali Bendre.

Sporting white tees designed by Kumar's wife Twinkle Khanna, that said "Once Upon A Time In IPL", the actors rooting for Mumbai looked forward to having fun at the match.

"Today we are here to support cricket but as I live in Mumbai so I'll be supporting Mumbai as and when required. For today's match we will just have fun," said Sinha best known for films like "Dabanng".

Similarly, Khan of "Delhi Belly" fame said, "Ya me too, ultimately we are from Mumbai so all our loyalty is for Mumbai. Today's match we will just enjoy."

"OUATIMA", produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, is slated for release Aug 8.
