Los Angeles, Apr 6 (IANS): Singer Rihanna is the new addition to the list of swatting victims.
The Los Angeles police department confirmed to eonline.com Thursday that a prank phone call was made to authorities alleging an incident occurred at Rihanna's home, causing police to be dispatched to her house, only to see upon arrival that nothing was going on.
The police said they received a call shortly after 3 p.m. that an armed suspect was inside the singer's house and had shot somebody. Officers eventually found no evidence of a crime and nobody was hurt.
Rihanna, who is currently on her Diamonds World Tour, was not at home.
In recent times, similar incidents have also occurred at the homes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher.
