When Yuvan, Rahman and Dhanush joined hands


Chennai, Apr 27 (IANS): Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja crooned a song, composed by Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman and written by Dhanush, in upcoming Tamil drama "Mariyaan".

"Amazing song by A.R. Rahman. It was sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja and lyrics by Dhanush," posted "Mariyaan" director Bharat Bala on his Twitter page.

Yuvan posted on his Twitter page: "Had an awesome recording session with A.R. Rahman. (I) sang a song for him".

Yuvan, who mostly sings for his own compositions, collaborated with Rahman for the first time. He is known to have sung approximately 100 songs in his little over a decade career.

As a composer, Yuvan is known for Tamil films such as "Nandha", "Thulluvadho Ilammai" and "7G Rainbow Colony".

"Mariyaan", inspired by true events, features Dhanush and Parvathi in the lead.
