Luke Evans to play lead in 'The Crow' remake


London, May 7 (IANS): Welsh actor Luke Evans will be seen playing the lead character in “The Crow” remake.

The remake of 1994 film is being directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and produced by Relativity Media.

The actor known for his roles in films like “Immortals”, “Clash of the Titans” and “The Three Musketeers” was reportedly the original choice for the role played by Brandon Lee Alex Proyas-directed film, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The 34-year-old will follow in the footsteps of Lee in playing the character of Eric Draven (The Crow), a man who is brutally murdered, but comes back to life to take revenge of his and his fiance's murder.

He will also be seen in action film “Fast & Furious 6”.
