Mangalore, Jan 5: "In these times of communal clashes and riots, what we need is a life of communal harmony and tolerance. We should build society and not divide it on the basis of religion, creed etc. We all are God's children and therefore should live like God's children. Only a life filled with love and peace would lead our society to heights of prosperity and abundance," said Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza.
He was speaking on the occasion of the annual feast and inauguration of the newly built welcome arch of Sacred Heart Church, Suratkal on Wednesday January 5 morning. He celebrated the solemn Eucharistic Celebration along with parish priest Fr J B D'Souza and other guest priests who were present on the occasion.
Parish priest Fr J B D'Souza inaugurated the new welcome arch, which has been sponsored by Gerald and Irene Salian. It has been built at a cost of Rs 1.5 lac. Fr Lawrence Mendonca of Fr Muller Hospital was also present on the occasion.
