Mangalore, Jan 23: St Aloysius Institute of Social Work in collaboration with Christian Children's Fund (CCF) - India has organized a two day South India level seminar on "The Changing Faces of Family: Challenges and Responses" on Tuesday January 24 and Wednesday January 25 at the I T Auditorium of St Aloysius College.

Dola Mohapatra, national director, CCF India will be the chief guest of the inaugural function to be held at 9.30 am on Tuesday.  Fr Francis Serrao, rector, St Aloysius Institutions will preside over the function.  Dr Anil Khwaja, director, Banjara Academy of Bangalore will deliver the keynote address.

The valedictory ceremony will be held at 3.30 pm on Wednesday January 25 which will be presided by Fr Eugene Lobo, principal, St Aloysius College.  Prof Gunashekharan, Retd. Dean of School of Social Science and International Studies, Ponidchery University will be the chief guest of the programme.

The seminar will focus on the changing scenarios of the Indian Family system, analyzing the Indian families from the social, religio-spiritual and psychological perspectives.  It will also help in understanding the challenges faced by families and exploring approaches to meet these challenges.  This seminar will be of great benefit for the students and staff of social work colleges of South India.
