Kasargod: Company cheats depositors to the tune of Rs 400 crore, one held

Kasargod, Jul 18: Global Trading Solution company operating in Kasargod as its center has reportedly duped several depositors from various parts of the state to the tune of Rs 400 crore, after promising double returns on their fixed deposits.

Police have arrested Sajith (29) from Manantawadi in this regard.

In Trishur district alone, customers are said to have been duped of Rs 50 crore. Police have received information that the prime accused in this case have fled abroad.

The company first promised its customers a 10 percent profit through exchange of foreign currency and later  promised double the amount. In this regard, around 29 members filed a complaint in Trishur east police station.

Sadiq from Kasargod was the director of this company, while his wife Khadija Nausha, Abdul Nasar from Ernakulam, Usha Kumari from Chervattur among others were on the board of directors.

As per the information obtained, the company assured people from several districts that they would be given 7 to 10 percent profit on deposit, and that they would also get the profit amount along with their deposit amount within 150 days.

The company thus received deposits from people of Trishur, Ernakulam, Mysore, Pallakad, Bangalore and other places. In the beginning, the company paid the amount to the customers as promised, which won over their confidence, it is said.

On December 1, 2011, the company had called a meeting of all its depositors in a school at Kasargod, where they collected the deposit receipts from them. Thereafter, they disapppeared.

The anxious depositors then tried to find out about the company and realized that they had been duped. Through investigation it was learnt that Global Trading Solution company in Kasargod was merged with a company in Dubai and the depositors' money was also transferred.

Directors namely Sadiq, Khadija Nausha and Sudheer have fled to a foreign country. More than 100 cases of fraud have been lodged in various police stations and more arrests are likely in the coming days.

The best thing is that there's no dearth of cheaters - neither there's dearth of people who want to invest and get cheated.

The problem is in this hi-tech world where news and articles of cheating and duping are common - people knowingly fall for these traps. Don't understand if it is due to ignorance or greed.

Bottom line : 'There's no free lunch in this world'. 'Nothing comes easy'

I do not understand why some people like Dinesh Poojary, Jeevan, Rakesh Shetty, Nagesh Nayak etc. are always giving political n communal colors to whatever is reported in media. I dont understand why people respond to these chaps. Few times talking in some biased way is fine, but not always and definitely not over-doing. Overdoing is boring. When no one has a perfect n unique solution to problems, why one has to repeatedly say same biased statements ? This is disgusting. Some people are trying to disprove or counter these fellows. These fellows, as far as I get it, are provoking n expecting some reaction. They do not participate in any constructive activity. They just do it for fun n do for no reason. I urge sensible folks to ignore these such chaps.

I wish, some prominent/superrich politicians (DeveGowda, HDK, SMK, DKshi, Sriramulu, .. etc. ), including some billionaires from previous government ( Ashoka, Yeddy, DVS, Reddy, Palemar, Shobha, Katta, ... etc.) invested in Global Trading Solution company for doubling their swindled public money. Majority of people who got duped in money doubling scheme might be innocents.

Mr. Shetty, why keep your money in FD and take a loan paying addtional interest of 2% on the loan. Better invest your savings in property itself & you save 2% interest.

I can say only 2 sentences - 1. Good sense never prevailed in these people. 2. Greed for more returns made them lose their principal amount. If a child commits a mistake, we say that it is learning from mistakes but if an adult is committing mistakes after mistakes on such financial products then I would say "he is the biggest idiot on this earth".

Vice people would not venture into depositing funds in such fake Companies.

No regret for the depositors as it was easy, unaccounted or black money which washed away. Be careful in the future. Banks are the safest place where your money is safe and grows steadily and risk free.

Dear Bulsamji, even Government undertaking Companies like “UTS64-Scheme” duped many Investors too…………. So, best way to utilize the funds means keep your savings in FD in any nationalized bank and take up to 75% maximum limit secured loan by paying just 2% more interest what you get on FD Deposit and invest in property

These types of blade companies are in existence for more than 40 years. There have been number of frauds committed by these companies all around India and Kerala in particular. But pity is that people still believe in these companies and get cheated repeatedly.
