Mumbai, Jul 21: 35-year-old Bollywood star Rani Mukerji, winner of several Filmfare awards and known as one of the high-profile celebrities of India, is all set to tie the knot with another noted Bollywood filmmaker Aditya Chopra, who had first married Payyal Khanna earlier.

Rumours have been in the air several times in the past that both celebrities would be entering wedlock, but this time, family sources close to Aditya Chopra have confirmed to an Indian tabloid that grand preparations are under way to hold a mega wedding function in January. Some sources have said that the marriage has been fixed for January as per the advice of priests.

Rani who made her debut in Bollywood back in 1997, in her first film 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat' portrayed a rape victim who is forced to marry her rapist. Although a commercial failure, Mukerji's performance was praised, and she won a special recognition trophy at the annual Screen Awards ceremony.

She has seen ups and downs in her career, and after initial success she had to struggle. The 2004-06 period was fruitful with her delivering several hits. 'No One Killed Jessica' (2011) was one of her best films as she received widespread appreciation for her central character's role.

Her recent movie 'Bombay Talkies' grossed average in the box office.
