'Yeh Rishta...' will always be my first love: Heena Khan


Mumbai, Jul 23 (IANS): TV serial "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" has completed 1,200 episodes and for lead actress Hina Khan, no opportunity, however big, compares to her love for the show.

"There have been so many opportunities where I felt there won't be anything bigger than this and I thought let me just quit 'Yeh Rishta...' and start doing that. But whenever I have a choice, 'Yeh Rishta...' is always the first love and nothing compares to it atleast for me," Heena said here on location of the show where the team was celebrating the show's achievement.

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" premiered Jan 12, 2009 on Star Plus with Heena as the female protagonist Akshara. The show is aired Monday to Saturday.

The show won the golden honour for completing 1,000 episodes at the recently held 2013 Boroplus Gold Awards.

Heena is ecstatic at the show's achievements and the number of awards it has won as a whole till now.

"Twelve hundred episodes is a long journey and we also cut a cake. We are cutting another cake. Actually, we have cut many cakes till now for the show and also, the number of awards that all of us together have won for the show is more than 60. This is a huge achievement," she said.
