Nargis Fakhri speaks in her own voice in 'Madras Cafe'

Mumbai, July 26 (IANS): Shoojit Sircar's "Madras Cafe" will see Nargis Fakhri speaking her lines in her own voice.

An essential privilege and prerogative for every actor was denied to Nargis in her debut film "Rockstar" where her co-star Ranbir Kapoor tried his utmost to polish up her Hindi to the extent that she would be able to speak her own lines. But it didn't work out.

But there is a catch to this. Nargis plays a European journalist in "Madras Cafe", so she doesn't have to speak any Hindi.

Sircar confirmed: "I've tried to keep it as real as possible. Nargis plays a foreign journalist. A press correspondent from Europe."

Releasing Aug 23, "Madras Cafe" is a political-thriller with John Abraham, who has produced the film, playing the main lead.
