Mumbai, Jul 31: After Steven Spielberg’s two-day flash visit to  Mumbai  earlier this year news of Spielberg’s desire to make a  film located in India with Indian actors in the lead, spread like wildfire.

And then came the clincher. If news reports were to be  believed Spielberg was “thinking” of casting Anushka Sharma in his Indian film....Or so we were told in a series of articles that were splashed in the weeks following Spielberg’s India visit.

While everyone associated with Spielberg’s visit to India giggled secretly at this “sensational news”, we believe Spielberg’s office did not take kindly too this obvious attempt to create news where there was none.

Anushka’s team  had to issue a hasty denial . Remember how Natalie Portman’s team had apparently threatened to sue Saif Ali Khan for claiming he was doing a film with the Hollywood hottie?

Saif tried to pass it off as a joke.

But the joke seems to be on us .When will Indian actors stop tripping over each other to be Hollywood-worthy?
