Kundapur, Aug 2: Urban development and Udupi district in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake on Thursday August 1 visited houses near Kodi Chakramma Temple which were damaged in storms.
On the occasion, he distributed cheques worth Rs 60,200 from revenue department and Rs 17,000 from municipality to seven beneficiaries who incurred loss.
It may be recalled that on Thursday, due to storm, more than ten coconut trees were uprooted and fell on the houses causing huge loss to property.
Kundapur divisional officer Yogeshwar, revenue officials, Kundapur block congress president Malyadi Shivaram Shetty, Lovely, municipality members among others were present during the visit.
