Mangalore: ‘Bahrain Kannadostava’ to be held on Aug 4 in Bangalore

Mangalore, Aug 2: Under the initiative of Yashwanth Sardeshpande and Kiran Upadhaya, Guru Institute Hubli and Gurubala entertainers will hold ‘Bahrain Kannadostava’ at Kengal Hanumanthiah Convention Hall on Sunday August 4 at around 6 pm.

More than 50 artistes from Bahrain will exhibit their talents during the programme. A team of NRIs from Mangalore will go to Bangalore along with various artistes to participate in the event. The programme is organized to support and promote the culture and heritage of our hometown. The programme consists of an hour-long ‘Sudhanavarujuna’ Yakshagana and another three hours of classical and film songs, Bharatanatya, folk and film dance.

 “This is programme is mainly organized for the NRIs to exhibit their talents who have kept Indian culture alive in Bahrain,” said NRI Ramesh Manjeshwar, addressing the press meet held in city here on Friday August 1.

Ramesh Ramachandran NRI, Arun Irodi NRI were present on the occasion.
