Mangalore: Boat capsizes near old port, 8 fishermen rescued

Mangalore, Aug 5: Eight fisherman were rescued after their fishing boat capsized at the river mouth of Mangalore Old Port here on Monday August 5.

The boat 'Nimmi Kalyani' is owned by Jayashree Mohan Mendon.

The rescued fishereman are Purusottama (48) of Bhatkal, Sethu (25) of Tamil Nadu, Thimmappa (33) of Bhatkal, Bhagesh, (19) of Bhatkal, Ramdas (30) of Koppamogeru, Mohan (26) and Mohan Shirali (22), both of Bhatkal. 

They were rescued by another fishing vessel 'Sagar Kusum'.
