Karkala: Kanajar Church parish priest, members visit damaged Temple

Karkala, Aug 7: A few days ago Brahmalingeshwar Temple at Kanajar was damaged due to heavy winds and rains. Fr Dr John Mendonca, parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Kanajar, Ignatius D’Souza, vice president of parish pastoral council, Ivan Miranda, finance committee member of the Church paid a courtesy visit to the Temple.

They met Sudhir Hegde, in-charge and chief priest of the Temple. The group discussed about the plans for the renovation of the damaged Temple and its vicinity. Parish priest proposed to offer assistance for the required renovation.

Sudhir Hegde thanked them for the courtesy visit and expressed his happiness over the concern expressed by the Church.

The damage is estimated to be around Rs 10 lac.
