B'lore: Metro chief Sivasailam ousted, replaced by Kharola

Bangalore, Aug 10: Namma Metro Rail chief N Sivasailam, who has been receiving lot of flak from a section of the citizens for being unresponsive to their queries, has been shunted out as Managing Director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.

The BMRCL chief, who had been looking after the implementation of the Namma Metro Rail project since the last several years, has not been given any posting.

The State Government, which effected reshuffle of several IAS officers, has appointed Pradeep Singh Kharola as the BMRCL managing director.

Kharola was serving as the Chairman, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation.

However, Kharola’s his services will be continued in the Urban Development department since he has been appointed as the MD, BMRCL.

Gaurav Gupta has been appointed as Regional Commissioner, Bangalore division while M S Ravishankar has been appointed as the chairman of BWSSB.

New postings of other IAS officers are: S N Jayaram – Commissioner, Social Welfare Department; Naveen Raj Singh – Director, Karnataka Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, and additional secretary, RDPR; S Shankaranarayana – Director, Mines and Geology; A M Muniyappa – member, KAT,  Bangalore; D S Vishwanath – Commissioner, Employment and Training; Anurag Tewari – Deputy Commissioner of Kodagu; Rohini Sindhuri Dasari – Director, Self-employment Programme, RDPR; D K Ravi – Deputy Commissioner, Kolar; Rame Gowda  - Director, Department of Pre-University Education and Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority; G S Shivaswamy – director, Tribal Welfare; N M Panali – Karnataka Silk Marketing Board; B S Shekarappa – Deputy Commissioner, Chikmagalur; Umesh Kusugal (KAS) – CEO, Haveri ZP, and V G Turumuri (KAS) – CEO, Gadag ZP.

    Very good move by the Government.I was very angry when he was un-responsiver or rather rude while answering to public queries in a function at Bengaluru as if he was owner of Namma Metro.
