Mangalore: Gonzaga School celebrates Independence Day

Mangalore, Aug 17: Gonzaga School of St Aloysius College, Mangalore celebrated the 67th Independence day with great zeal and enthusiasm on August 15 with the slogan 'Aao Desh ka Samman Kare'.

Sandra Maria Lorena, senior branch manager, Bejai, Karnataka Bank was the chief guest of the function. Fr Elvis Lewis , manager of  Gonzaga School and principal Grace Noronha graced the occasion.

The programme began with invoking God’s blessings followed by unfurling of the national flag. Students took the pledge to love and respect their nation.There was a cultural programme in the Loyola hall, filled with the value of freedom and patriotism.

The tiny  tots of KG1 presented themselves with the song “Bharat ApniJaan se Pyaarahai” ,dressed in costumes of different states of India, to display unity in diversity which added to the gaiety of the atmosphere.

The programme included patriotic songs,skit and dance that depicted unity is strength and expressed the patriotic feeling with great splendour, joy. The programme concluded with school anthem.
