Mangalore, Feb 8: The Management Club of Aloysius Institute of Business Administration (AIBA) will organize Verve-2006, a south India-level inter-collegiate management festival at the institute premises on Friday and Saturday.
Director of St Aloysius Institute of Computer Sciences Fr Denzil Lobo at a press meet here informed this on Monday.
The festival aims at inculcating competitive spirit in addition to management and leadership skills among budding managers, said Fr Lobo adding that total of 30 reputed B-Schools from across south India including those from Bangalore, Mysore, Manipal, Cochin, Chikballapur, Belgaum and Goa will participate in the festival.

The two-day festival includes unique events like Bullhead (related to finance), Oyster (human resource), Quillback (quiz), the Shark (best CEO) and Mudskipper (marketing), he added.

Focusing on the future plans of the institute, Fr Lobo said the college management has already purchased about 17 acres of land at Beeri near Ullal and will soon set up a full-fledged state-of-the-art campus for AIBA. The new campus will be developed to international standards, on par with some of the prestigious B-Schools like XLRI and XIMB, he informed.

AIBA dean P G Aquinas, faculty co-ordinator Prakash Pinto, Verve-2006 conveners Carl Cutinha, Govardhan G S and Vishal D'Souza were present at the press meet.
