Koteshwar, Aug 23: "We have made changes in our food habits due to modern living.  Even though boiled rice is ideal to maintain our body’s equilibrium, we are eating raw rice to maintain our prestige which inturn brings diabetes on ourselves, said Karnataka bank director Dr Ram Mohan.   

He was speaking at the workshop titled ‘our health is in our hands’ held under the joint aegis of Koteshwar Rotary Club and Anns Club at Koteshwar Rotary Bhavan on Wednesday August 21 night.

Rotary president Prabhakar Kumbhashi presided over the programme.  Senior Rotary member Sanjiv Ganiga, Anns club president Deepika Shetty, Secretary Suchitra Nayak and Rotary secretary Ravindra Shetty Moodugopady were present.

Sudha Ramachandra led the prayer. Auditor Shanker Naik welcomed the gathering.  Mahendra Achar conducted the programme and Sadananda thanked the attendees.
