Bangalore, Feb 10: The much-expected Cabinet expansion could not take place today as Chief Minister H.D. Kuma-raswamy could not hold final round of talks with BJP leaders due to his father-in-law's death.

He was at the native place of Dr. T.C. Sitaram, his father-in-law, in Kolar district till late in the evening yesterday to attend the funeral.

The Chief Minister will not be able to expand his Ministry immediately as he will be on tour from today for the next four days.

Though Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa yesterday told newsmen that the Cabinet will be expanded on Feb. 15, the JD(S) sources claimed that it could happen only on Feb. 16.

CM's Tour

Kumaraswamy will be on a tour in Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu today and tomorrow.

He will visit some temples in both the States today and in the morning tomorrow and will attend a function at Mudliarkuppam in Tamil Nadu at 3 pm tomorrow where he will handover keys of the houses built by Mysore Citizens Forum (MCF) for the tsunami victims.

The Chief Minister will visit Hirekerur on Feb. 12 to participate in Tharalabalu Hunnime festival.

Kumaraswamy will leave for Delhi on Feb. 13 to attend a meeting of Chief Ministers called by the Prime Minister to discuss the issues related to power situation.

Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will also accompany him.

Both the leaders will have consultations with top BJP leaders over Cabinet formation during their stay in Delhi before returning to Bangalore on Feb. 14.

Governor's Tour

Governor T.N. Chaturvedi will also be on tour from Feb. 11 to 13 in Mangalore and Belgaum districts to attend convocations of Universities. He will return to Bangalore on Feb. 14.
