Mumbai: Billavar Association hosts indoor competitions

Mumbai, Sep 3: The Youth Welfare Committee of the metro based Billavar Association organized indoor competitions; Kantabare – Budabare table tennis, carom, chess, painting, Rangoli etc at Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (East), here on Sunday September 1.

The association honorary president Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the programme. The association president L V Amin and Jaya Suvarna offered motion for the competitions by playing table tennis on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Jaya Suvarna said that the metro based Billavar Association has been striving to bolster the community in literarily, culturally, educationally, religiously and economically, while the Youth Welfare Committee is striving its best to bring the community youth to the mainstream of society.  He also called on the community youth to actively partake in the upcoming Yuva Utsav that will be held here on Sunday September 8.

The association vice presidentss Nityanand D Kotian, C T Salian and Bhaskar M Salian, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna, honorary chief treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, joint secretaries Shankar D Poojary and Harish G salian, joint treasurer L R Anchan and Dharmapal G Anchan, women wing president Shakuntala K Kotian, Mahesh Karkal, Umesh Kotian, B Ravindra Amin, Dr U Dhananjay Kumar among others were also present.

Jaya felicitated Billavar Association Malad Committee president Santosh Poojary at the same occasion.

Ravi Sanil compered the programme. Youth Welfare Committee president Premanat V Kotian welcomed the gathering.  Secretary Sadashiv A Karkera proposed vote of thanks.
