Mumbai, Feb 18: On a plea by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), a special court on Saturday issued a non-bailable warrant against suspended police inspector Daya Nayak who did not surrender in keeping with a Supreme Court directive.
The court issued the warrant after public prosecutor RV Kini filed an application to this effect.
ACB told the court that Nayak was not traceable and steps taken by them to arrest him had failed.
An Assistant Commissioner of police in ACB had gone to Nayak's house but he was not available, the court was informed.
